Who are we looking for?

UTMB® Group is seeking to appoint an entrepreneurial-minded, Mandarin-speaker UTMB Asia Key Account Manager with an international profile and proven experience in International Sport Business Management and development in Asia.  

Your mission and key responsibilities

As a UTMB Asia Key Account Manager, you will report directly to UTMB International Director. Your mission will articulate around the following objectives  

1/ Key Account Management of UTMB World Series Franchises in Asia

UTMB Group manages a set of Franchised events in Asia (so far: China, Thailand, and South Korea) that require day-to-day coordination. Your mission will include, but will not be limited to :
  1. Managing day-to-day relations with our Asian Franchised events and hosts
  2. Being the key contact at UTMB Group for Asian Franchised events’ representatives
  3. Helping Asian Franchised events deliver state-of-the-art and premium trail-running events that comply to UTMB World Series guidelines and recommendations
  4. Coordinating multiple (internal and external) stakeholders in a challenging and highly multicultural environment

2/ Support to Business Development in China

  1. Your mission will be to contribute actively to the growth of the UTMB World Series in China (and more punctually in Thailand and South Korea), by supporting the UTMB Asia Director in identifying and generating opportunities to add new UTMB World Series events in those countries

Work location

  1. Asia (China or Hong Kong, China would be ideal)
  2. The UTMB Asia Key Account Manager will be required to travel frequently across Asia (UTMB World Series events, other events, business meetings...). He/She may also take part in meetings in France, Chamonix to coordinate with UTMB® Group team members and during strategic occasions (UTMB® Mont-Blanc week, key meetings etc.).

Profile & skills

  1. Minimum +5 years experience in the sports business and outdoor sports events industry, or in the management of franchises or clients in adjacent industries; understanding of trail running principles and values preferred
  2. Solid credentials and references confirming the above
  3. Multilingual – perfect English and good Mandarin are a must, other additional languages preferred
  4. A deep understanding of Asian culture, and its specific features in different countries
  5. A desire and the availability for extensive travel across Asia
  6. Ability to adapt to multinational and multicultural challenges
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels
  8. Strong business acumen
  9. Ability to perform both analytical and strategic-oriented mindsets and activities
  10. Ability to work independently and proactively
  11. Computer skills, including advanced use of Excel and PowerPoint
  12. Budget management
  13. Excellent presentation drafting

Your mission and key responsibilities

As a UTMB Asia Director, you will report directly to the UTMB International Director. Your mission will articulate around the following major objectives

1/ Business Development

Your mission will be to contribute actively to the growth of the UTMB World Series in China, Thailand, and South Korea, including but not limited to:
  1. Identifying and generating opportunities to add new UTMB World Series events in those countries, and liaising with prospects
  2. Writing franchising agreements
  3. Pitching events to host countries or cities
  4. Providing benchmarks, analysis, presentations, and business intelligence to support the UTMB World Series long-term development strategy in those countries

2/ Key Account Management of UTMB World Series Franchises in Asia

UTMB Group manages a set of Franchised events in Asia that require day-to-day coordination. Your mission will include, but will not be limited to :
  1. Make sure that UTMG Group's franchised event business is sustainable in the long run
  2. Coordinate the action of the UTMB Asia manager in his/her mission to manage day-to-day relations with our Asian Franchised events and hosts, and help them deliver state-of-the-art and premium trail-running events that comply to UTMB World Series guidelines and recommendations-
  3. Manage high-level questions and challenges linked to the franchised event business, the relation with UTMB Group’s franchisees, and government representatives

3/ Coordination of the team in charge of Translantau by UTMB

UTMB Group owns and operates a trail-running event in Hong Kong called Translantau by UTMB. The team in charge of the preparation and execution of the event, including the Race Director, is based in Hong Kong. Your mission will include, but will not be limited to :
  1. Supervising the event team, and its Event Director
  2. Defining, together with the Event Director, the development strategy of the event, and helping the Event Director make the main decisions
  3. Being accountable, together with the Event Director, of the budget of the event
  4. Being a link with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and key other high-level local public stakeholders of the event

4/ UTMB Group image and network in Asia

  1. Build a strong network for UTMB Group in the above-mentioned countries, and in Asia more generally speaking
  2. Strengthen UTMB’s brand equity and image in Asia
  3. Liaise with The Ironman Group’s Asia Director, and coordinate joint challenges

 Work location

  2. The UTMB Asia Director will be required to travel frequently across Asia. He/She may also take part in meetings in France, and Chamonix to coordinate with UTMB® Group team members and during strategic occasions (UTMB® Mont-Blanc week, key meetings, etc.).

Job Summary and Objective:

As EuropeActive’s CEO, you are responsible for guiding the organization towards achieving its mission and vision by executing the key initiatives set forth in our strategic plan. The CEO will oversee all aspects of the association's operations, including strategic planning, financial management, advocacy, and member services. This role requires a strong understanding of the fitness industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.  

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Execute the association's strategic plan in alignment with its mission and vision. Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the fitness sector and provide guidance to the association's members, councils and partners. Foster innovation and continuous improvement and connection within the association and the industry. Financial Management: ♦ Develop and manage the association's annual budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability ♦ Oversee fundraising efforts, including cultivating relationships with our key members, funders, and sponsors. Advocacy and Representation: ♦ Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the association, promoting the interests of the fitness and physical activity sector to government entities, regulatory bodies, and the public. Affinity with the sector, active sportsperson Demonstrated ability to develop and implement/execute strategic plans and drive organizational growth. Results orientated with laser-beam focus Excellent communicator, Fluent in spoken and written English; additional European languages are an asset Good public speaking skills, with the ability to represent the association effectively. Empathic and culturally sensitive with diplomatic style, with good understanding of cultural dynamics across Europe Experience with modern marketing and Social Media strategies Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and fundraising. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including members/partners, industry leaders, and government officials. A strong networker. Work Location and Travel Requirements

Work Flexibility: This position offers the occasional flexibility of remote work with 1-2 days per week office days for on-site meetings and team collaboration.
